Privacy policy

The short version

• This website sets no cookies and uses no tracking, analytics or advertising services.
• No external services are embedded: fonts, images and videos are served from this website’s own server. Loading the page does not connect you to any third party.
• The only data processed are the technically necessary server log files and any data you voluntarily send me by email.

2. Hosting and server log files

This website is operated by an external service provider (host). When you visit the website, your browser automatically sends information to the server, which is stored in so-called log files:

• IP address of the requesting device
• date and time of access
• name and URL of the requested file, amount of data transferred and HTTP status code
• the website from which the request originates (referrer URL)
• browser used and, where applicable, operating system

Processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. My legitimate interest lies in delivering the website securely and reliably and in detecting and preventing misuse. This data is not combined with other data sources. Log files are only kept for as long as necessary for these purposes and are then deleted. The host processes the data solely to provide its services and in accordance with my instructions.

3. Encrypted transmission

This website is delivered over a TLS-encrypted connection (HTTPS), recognisable by “https://” in your browser’s address bar.

4. Local storage in your browser (localStorage)

If you manually switch the appearance to “Light” or “Dark”, or pause the motion in the header area, the website remembers this choice in your browser’s local storage (keys pr-theme and pr-motion). These values stay on your device, are never sent to the server and contain no personal data. Storing them is strictly necessary to provide the function you explicitly requested (Section 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG, German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act). You can delete them at any time in your browser settings; choosing “System” again removes the entry.

5. Fonts, images and videos

All fonts (Bricolage Grotesque, Inter, JetBrains Mono) as well as all images and videos are loaded directly from this web server. There is no connection to Google Fonts, YouTube, Vimeo, content delivery networks or similar services.

6. Links to external websites

This website contains links to external services, in particular Instagram (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.), the Apple App Store (Apple Distribution International Ltd.), my own websites healthlumio.de, gridium-photo.com and herrlich-unperfekt.de, and the booksellers BoD – Books on Demand and Amazon. These are plain links, not embeds. Data is only transferred to the respective provider once you click a link. Processing on those websites is governed by the respective provider’s privacy policy.

7. Contact by email

If you email me, I process the information it contains (e.g. email address, name, content of the message) in order to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your request concerns a commission, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries). I delete the data as soon as it is no longer needed, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

8. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) and to object to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR). Simply contact me by email.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for me is the Independent Centre for Privacy Protection Schleswig-Holstein (Unabhängiges Landeszentrum für Datenschutz, ULD), Kiel.

9. Changes

I will update this privacy policy whenever the website or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies.
